I grew up in California, so writing and learning about California's history was fun for me. I am currently a California State University Long Beach junior and plan to be an Elementary school teacher in the future. I have always had a passion for educating young minds. While attending El Camino Community College and CSULB, I work as a Montessori preschool teacher in Manhattan Beach California. |

I have lived in Southern California all my life and have been fortunate enough to have seen my fair share of it. I am a student at Cal State Long Beach where I am currently working on my BA in Liberal Studies and later hope to receive my credentials in Special Education. Before I came to Cal State Long Beach I attended San Diego City College where I received an Associates in Art for elementary school teaching. I am looking forward in working in the education field and help improve it in any way I can. |

I'm a California native, born and rise. I am currently finishing up my bachelors at Cal State Long Beach, my major is Liberal Studies. I've chosen this area of study because I want to be an educator and help improve our public school systems. Being a single mother of three really gave me perspective of the school system and how I would like to improve it. |

Currently, I am studying at California State University of Long Beach and after I graduate, I want to travel and be a teacher in many classrooms around the world. I want to be in a place in which learning is reciprocated and the environment fosters thinking and questioning. I hope to see and create changes in the education system in California where students can actually understand what they are learning, instead of just memorizing facts.
